EUROPEAN CUP WINNER'S CUP METAL PIN BADGE

The GCT has also produced a limited-edition metal pin badge commemorating the event. These striking badges are of excellent quality, fully enameled and featuring an iconic white background with the famous Red, Green & Black Glentoran sash, behind an image of the ECWC Trophy. They are priced £2.50 each, plus 50p P&P if you are unable to collect.

The GCT will have a stall in the Oval car park for the Glens home match with Coleraine this Saturday 21st February, when you can approach us about any of the above.

35th ANNIVERSARY FUNCTION

We will also have on sale tickets for a Function at the Park Avenue Hotel on Saturday March 14th (£10.00), when we will be celebrating that fantastic achievement of 1974 by bringing together upwards of 16 members of the 21-man squad who competed in the tie, some from as far away as Canada.

The "Sounds of the Seventies" Celebration will be supported by 70's Theme band "BALLROOM BLITZ", and we will also be using the night to launch the long-awaited "EUROPEAN DREAM" DVD, featuring extended, classic, and lost footage from Glentoran European fixtures over the last 50 years!

THE LOST SHIRT

35 years ago in March 1974, Glentoran FC played Borussia Moenchengladbach in the Quarter-Final of the European Cup Winner's Cup. For the away leg of the Quarter-Final in Germany the Glens wore a RED shirt to avoid a clash of colours. That RED shirt has remained elusive to most fans since the close of the 1974 season ... until a few weeks ago, when it re-appeared at the GCT Glentoran Memorabilia Exhibition in St Martin's Church off the Newtownards Road!
